چکیده

Magnesium diboride (MgB2) thin films on r-cut sapphire (r-Al2O3) single crystals were fabricated by a precursor, which was obtained at room temperature via pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method using Nd:YAG laser, and an in situ postannealing process. The onset superconducting transition, Tconset, zero-resistivity Tczero, observed 33.6 31.7 K, respectively, the MgB2 prepared Mg-rich target with ratio of Mg:B = 3:2. critical current density, Jc, calculated from magnetization measurements reached up to 0.9 × 106 A cm−2 20 K 0 T. broad angular Jc peak found 28 when magnetic fields applied direction parallel film surface (θ 90°). This could be indicative granular structure randomly oriented grains. Our results demonstrate that this process is promising candidate for fabrication devices.

Pulsed laser deposition of VO2 thin films

High quality vanadium dioxide ~VO2! thin films have been successfully deposited by pulsed laser deposition without postannealing on ~0001! and ~101̄0! sapphire substrates. X-ray diffraction reveals that the films are highly oriented with ~010! planes parallel to the surface of the substrate. VO2 thin films on ~0001! and ~101̄0! substrates show semiconductor to metal transistions with electrical r...

Fatigue mechanism of yttrium-doped hafnium oxide ferroelectric thin films fabricated by pulsed laser deposition.

Owing to their prominent stability and CMOS compatibility, HfO2-based ferroelectric films have attracted great attention as promising candidates for ferroelectric random-access memory applications. A major reliability issue for HfO2 based ferroelectric devices is fatigue. So far, there have been a few studies on the fatigue mechanism of this material. Here, we report a systematic study of the f...

Investigation of Magnetite Thin-Films Produced by Pulsed Laser Deposition

Thin-films of magnetite, F@04 have been produced by the XeCl excimer laser ablation of both Fe304 and metallic Fe targets. The ablation of metallic Fe has been shown to produce about two orders of magnitude smaller concentration of boulders than the ablation of bulk magnetite. The use of single-crystal, latticematching substrates was found to be necessary at lower fluences (1 3 J cm-') for the ...

In-situ growth of superconducting SmO1−xFxFeAs thin films by pulsed laser deposition

Oxypnictide thin film growth by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) is one of many insufficiently resolved issues in the research of iron-based superconductors. Here we report on the successful realization of superconducting SmO1-xFxFeAs oxypnictide thin film growth by in-situ PLD on CaF2 (fluorite) substrates. CaF2 acts as fluorine supplier by diffusion and thus enables superconducting oxypnictide t...
